Nonlinear optical materials
Abstract
The conversion of light from one frequency to another is discussed in terms of nonlinear optically conducting materials. Frequency conversion properties of various aromatic crystals are outlined with attention to the effect of their lattice vibrations on phase coordination. Finally, applications of nonlinear optical materials to pollution measurement are mentioned.
