Solution of the problem of synthesizing optimal components of linear frequency-sequences
Abstract
With application to pulse radar systems, the paper considers the problem of choosing parameters of a linear frequency-sequence that ensure maximum size of the region free from ambiguity peaks (the free region) in the vicinity of the central peak of the ambiguity function, while ensuring a minimum sidelobe level in this region. There are specific constraints on the resolution properties and the general frequency deviation in the sequence. The parameters of the sequence are chosen on the basis of the maximization of the ratio of the area of the free region to the area of the central peak.
