Spherical antenna array with annular arrangement of radiators
Abstract
The Poisson summation formula and the stationary-phase method are used to obtain simple relations for analyzing the radiation pattern of a spherical array with annular arrangement of radiators along the parallels of the spherical surface. Relationships for determining spacing between radiators are obtained on the basis of the prescribed form of the radiation pattern. The analytical representation of the discrete distribution of radiators on the spherical surface can be used to determine sidelobe levels and shapes.
