Effect of space charge in waveguide-type gyroresonance devices
Abstract
The paper presents a theoretical analysis of the effect of space charge on processes of electron bunching and energy transfer in waveguide-type magnetostatic gyroresonance devices at high current. It is found that the space charge field significantly augments electron bunching and leads, therefore, to improved efficiency. The role of the longitudinal component of the space charge field in the formation of dynamic traps for the electrons is discussed.
