Shock wave stability in flows of spontaneously condensing vapor
Abstract
A theory developed by Slobodkina (1970) for MHD channel flows is used to study shock wave stability in flows of spontaneously condensing vapor. Consideration is given to the stability of a shock wave situated at the outlet section for the case of constant pressure at the channel section and before the singular point. It is found that the presence of a singular point beyond the shock wave can lead to the development of oscillatory processes.
