Interaction of an elastic cylindrical shell with a viscous fluid
Abstract
In the present paper, a simultaneous solution of the system of differential equations describing the shell/fluid system is obtained at pressures generated by flows along an absolutely rigid surface. The solution is obtained with the aid of Laplace transforms with respect to time and Fourier transforms with respect to the z coordinate. It is shown that the solution can be extended to hydroelasticity problems associated with external and internal flows and with flows between coaxial cylindrical surfaces.
