Application of ultraviolet spectroscopy for the detection of sulfur dioxide in smoke stacks
Abstract
A technique is presented for the determination of the percentage of sulfur dioxide in industrial smoke-stack emissions. The technique utilizes ultraviolet absorption and interferometric detection methods. The technique is discussed with reference to the theoretical basis, laboratory simulations, and actual measurements made at industrial smoke stacks.
