Digital simulation of bandlimited and narrow-band random systems
Abstract
Efficient and statistically accurate algorithms are found and compared for the numerical solution of system states equations, when the forcing functions are random, bandlimited or narrow-band Gaussian signals. Two specific applications considered involve simplified nonlinear models of ocean systems; namely, a deep-sea platform and a moored ship. Random inputs permit the use of statistical error criteria.
