An experimental investigation of electric potentials associated with steady conduction currents in closed superconducting coils

An experimental investigation of the potentials that were associated with currents in type 2 superconductors is reported. The resolution of the fundamental questions involved required a detailed study of the source of the potentials. The basic experiments were repeated, and the potentials were observed. The magnitude variation of the potentials, i.e., the proportionality between the mean and the scatter of the data were established with greater confidence than previously obtained. This provides a more complete data base for future investigation.
