Analytical and computer-aided techniques for IMPATT reflection amplifiers
Abstract
Fundamental gain-bandwidth limitations of IMPATT diodes based on both lumped and distributed equivalent circuits are derived and analytical and computer-aided techniques for the design of broadband IMPATT diode reflection amplifiers are presented. Experimental high power reflection amplifiers designed and fabricated in microstrip to illustrate the general design techniques are described.
