The fall and find of the Vetluga meteorite are described. This 780-gm achondrite fell on February 27, 1949, near the south shore of Lake Bobrovo, 7 km from the city of Vetluga in the northern part of the Gorky Region of the Russian Republic. A verbatim account of the find by the woodsman who discovered the meteorite is provided.
