Radial-velocity variations of alpha Equulei and HR 6684 deduced from PDS scans.
Abstract
Summary. The PDS microphotometer is shown to be an efficient means of producing accurate radial velocities both when measuring individual lines and when cross-correlating spectra of similar type - Photographic spectra of the double-lined spectroscopic binary a Equulei and the /3 Cepheid HR 6684 have been reanalysed and have yielded more plausible velocity variations than those previously found.
