Theoretical principles of radar /2nd revised and enlarged edition/
Abstract
The book deals with principles of radar, a description of radar signals, a synthesis of signal-detection and parameter-measurement devices, and techniques for estimating target position or target motion parameters. The statistical theory of space-time filtering is used in the study, the theory of dynamic signal finding and detection is outlined, and various signal-processing devices are described, including digital, optical, and holographic systems. Theoretical principles for statistical tracker synthesis are presented, along with block diagrams for analog and digital trackers. Shielding techniques for active and passive interference, including polarization method and moving-target-indicator designs, are considered. Lidar and thermal radar systems are also discussed.
