Energy absorption during homogeneous boiling induced by laser beam
Abstract
The paper reports on the results of experiments carried out in order to analyze the energy absorption during homogeneous boiling induced by a high energy laser beam. The energy absorption coefficients versus subcooling degree is plotted, as are laser beam energy and the instantaneous absorption coefficient versus time. It is noted that all experiments concern boiling under atmospheric pressure. The present work completes a previous photographic study of laser homogeneous boiling.
