Large-scale integrated circuits using integrated injection logic technology 'IIL'
Abstract
Integrated injection logic (IIL) is discussed, and two examples of IIL application in LSI circuits are described. Prospects for increasing the integration density, the speed, and the voltage scale are examined. It is suggested that future devices might simultaneously have a 400 gates/sq mm intrinsic density, a 1 ns propagation delay, and a merit factor of nearly 100 fentojoules.
