Boundarylayer calculations using the HassidPoreh oneequation energy model
Abstract
The results of boundarylayer calculations are reported for wall flows with different levels of freestream turbulence, severe longitudinal acceleration and a step change in surface heat transfer. A oneequation turbulence model was used in finitedifference calculations which extended through the lowReynoldsnumber region adjacent to the wall. The model failed to predict relaminarization due to acceleration but in the other flows considered the agreement with experiment was good.
