Abstract
The papers deal with theoretical and practical problems in a number of disciplines involving electromagnetic phenomena. The main areas of study are numerical procedures for electromagnetic propagation phenomena, theory and measurement of plasma phenomena, processing radio propagation data, and radio astronomy signal processing. Individual topics investigated include finite difference method for determining field distribution in horn antenna aperture, transient and radiation problems by the singularity expansion method, numerical optimization of linear antennas, structure of the electromagnetic field in vacuum, determination of Faraday rotation, model for representing the height of the F2 maximum, standard reduction of radio astronomy continuum measurements, observations of Brillouin instability in the ionosphere, conformal mapping technique for formal solution of the Chapman-Ferraro problem in two dimensions, and digital control system for the azimuthal-mount antenna system of the Weissenauer radiospectrograph.
