Analysis of propagation and focusing of elliptical Gaussian beam
Abstract
A theoretical analysis is presented of the propagation and focusing of an elliptical Gaussian beam shaped by an optical wedge filter in a high-power laser system. The influence of wedge filter parameters on the position and distribution of radiation near the foci of the collecting system is examined. It is found that the Gaussian beam does not undergo deformation when it passes through the wedge filter symmetrically.
