Limits of screenedCoulomb amplitudes
Abstract
From two examples, one with an exponentially screened and the other with a smoothly cutoff Coulomb potential, arguments and partial proofs are given for the following conjecture. The absolute values of screenedCoulomb T matrices may converge in the limit of vanishing screening to the results of standard (i.e., shortrange) theory. The condition is that the values of the momenta should be chosen before the limiting process.
