Atmospheric transmission measurements at 10.6 µm.
Abstract
Measurements of the transmission of CO2 laser radiation through the atmosphere have been performed in Goteborg, Sweden, during three days with different weather conditions: fog, rain, and snow. The transmission of the radiation at 10.6 microns is compared with the transmission at 0.63 micron and the relative humidity of the air. The quantities are found to be well correlated.
