On-site microprocessor-controlled portable module testers
Abstract
The paper considers on-site microprocessor-controlled portable module testers. The systems are designed to reduce the number of modules returned for repair, reduce equipment down-time for repair, increase on-site self-sufficiency, and provide increased system test capability. The concept is based on a digital module tester (DMT) containing a unit-under-test (UUT) test program, the interface connector, the executive control program, and scratch memory. Future DMT models will also contain a logic probe option for use in manual probing, digital voltmeter and frequency counter measurement capability, and multilevel logic stimuli capability.
