Data obtained by Venera and Mariner probes of the Venusian troposphere are summarized, and a diurnal pattern of changes in low-level cloud cover thickness was detected. The possibility is suggested that the pattern might result from redox reactions in the intermediate geochemical zone of the troposphere. The model of the geochemical zonality of the troposphere is summarized.
