Rotating steadystate configurations in general relativity. II
Abstract
Spacetimes with timelike Killing vector fieldξ ^{ μ } and axial Killing vector fieldη ^{ μ } are studied. Physical coordinates are constructed for the metric of differentially rotating matter. It is proved that, for matter flow whose streamline tangents areu ^{ μ } =αξ ^{ μ } +βη ^{ μ }, the matter region must be either Petrov type I orD.
