Correlation functions of the equilibrium and the kinetic theory of turbulent flow
Abstract
The paper describes an attempt to develop turbulent flow theory as kinetic theory for the purpose of studying turbulent flow in which thermal fluctuations cause macroscopic fluctuations. A series approximation is applied, and the problem of calculating the equilibrium correlations is discussed. Difficulties in the procedure are explained, and some interrelationships of parameters are considered.
