The measurement of the error rate of digital transmission systems
Abstract
The measurement of the signal transmission fidelity of digital communications channels involving the generation of special signals of known structure, needed to simulate the data flows in order to conduct statistical investigations on a practical basis, is considered. A new type of equipment unit is proposed for synchronizing the standard and reference digital sequences. A description of its operation in the measurement and synchronization mode is included.
