Resonant frequencies of a cavity with a cylindrical hole in a wall of infinite thickness
Abstract
A variational method is presented for evaluating the electric and magnetic polarizabilities of a cylindrical hole of small radius a in a wall of infinite thickness. The polarizabilities are obtained, thus enabling the determination of the resonant frequency shifts for a cavity with the small hole.
