Calculation of the uniform asymptotic behavior of a boundary wave during diffraction of a halfshadow field on a half plane
Abstract
Consideration is given to calculating the halfshadow (lightdark) field formed during the diffraction of a cylindrical wave on the irregular metal surfaces of a reflector antenna system. The halfshadow field is characterized by two congruences of feeds: feeds which are associated with the geometricaloptics field and feeds which are associated with the boundary wave; the total of the two congruences is the lightdark boundary of the geometricaloptics field. The generalized Fresnel integral of the problem is calculated by an exact analytical method and is expressed through known functions.
