Nucleation equation in phase space - Effervescence of a nonvolatile fluid
Abstract
The Fokker-Planck equation in phase space of a particle in Brownian motion is used to study nucleation in a nonvolatile liquid. An expression is obtained for the probability of nucleation for an arbitrary liquid viscosity. The expression states a connection between the limiting cases of large and small viscosity.
