Pressure-scanned three-pass Fabry-Perot interferometer
Abstract
The design of a three-pass Fabry-Perot interferometer is considered noting the reflectivity finesse, contrast, and maximum transmission. Beam positioning in the retroreflectors, alignment, and stability are discussed. Measured and theoretical values are compared for the working contrast and the transmission. A contrast of 1.4 x 10 to the 8th power and a transmission of-29% are reported.
