Versatile high-precision multiple-pass reflectometer
Abstract
A confocal mirror assembly, based on a modified White absorption cell, has been applied to the measurement of radiant reflectances over 0.99 with a high degree of accuracy. The angle of incidence may range from 5 to 70 degrees and the mirrors may be either plane or curved with a few diopters of power. Using 33 layers of Ta2O5/SiO2, a reflectance of 0.9996 plus or minus 0.0002 was measured at 520 nm.
