Optical and infrared observations of the new emission-line object HM Sagittae.
Abstract
The blue spectrum and photometry from 0.4 to 12 ttm of HM Sge in 1977 June are discussed. These data permit the estimation of various physical parameters of interest including size scales, gas densities, a few ionic abundances, and the total energy flux. The object may be a symbiotic star; the possible relationship with planetary nebulae is not clear. Subject headings: stars: combination spectra - stars: emission4ine - stars: individual
