The reddening law in Carina OB1.
Abstract
RI magnitudes of 68 stars in the Carina OB 1 stellar association and of 11 comparison early-type stars were measured photoelectrically. This photometry, combined with previously published UBV observations and spectral types, confirms the existence of higher-than-normal color-excess ratios, localized in the central regions of the association. An abnormal interstellar extinction law seems to be present, and the ratio of total to selective absorption is estimated and used to rediscuss the photometric distance modulus.
