Ultrasonic-field display device with transducer and LED linear arrays and its application to ultrasonic holography
Abstract
An ultrasonic-field display device was constructed using transducer and light-emitting-diode (LED) linear arrays of 128 elements. Application of this device to ultrasonic holography is discussed; a hologram was recorded by scanning the light-emitting-diode array synchronously with the one-dimensional scan of an ultrasonic transmitter while the receiving transducer array was fixed. Images were optically reconstructed from the hologram and recorded photographically with a 1-MHz ultrasonic wave.
