Splitting of Comet West 1975n: photography and narrow-band photometry.
Abstract
Summary. Photographic and photometric observations of Comet West 1975 n have been carried out on March 12 and 13, 1976, with the 20cm reflector of the University of Lecce. The splitting of the parent nucleus in four nuclei could be resolved. Narrow-band photometry with interference filters at nine wavelengths in the range A has shown strong C3, C2 and NH2 emission with fluxes of 29.810-14, 12.510-14 and 7.6 /m2Aresp.
