Density oscillations in a uniformly rotating disk galaxy.
Abstract
Summary. We study oscillations of certain models of uniformly rotating stellar disks. The distribution function is assumed to be a function of the Jacobi integral in a frame of reference in which the perturbation is stationary. A normalmodes analysis is carried out and the barmodes of the system are calculated explicitly. Key words: galaxies  uniformly rotating stellar disk barmodes
