Pure countercurrents in rotating gases
Abstract
The possibility of producing pure countercurrents, defined as currents in which the flows within two velocity version surfaces are constant so that there is no component across inversion surfaces, is discussed. A method to analyze pure countercurrents is presented. It is shown that pure axial flows with constant velocity cannot exist for a compressible fluid.
