Measurements in transonic steam turbine cascades
Abstract
Work on supersonic cascade testing of long lasting L. P. blades in steam turbines is described. The main tasks reported are: the testing of optimum profiles for supersonic flows both for fixed and moving rows up to Mach numbers of 2.0, and the testing of profiles for near root and tip in the transonic range at inlet, Mach numbers of 0.6 to 1.2.
