Numerical methods in fluid dynamics
Abstract
Boundary value problems and initial value problems are considered along with one-dimensional unsteady flow characteristics, steady supersonic plane or axisymmetric flow, basic concepts used in finite difference methods, the Godunov schemes, the method of characteristics for three-dimensional problems in gas dynamics, the method of integral relations, and Telenin's method and the method of lines. A description is also presented of an alternative finite difference method for calculating steady high speed flow past bodies of general shape.
