Ultra-thin EM window polarizer

A description is presented of a very thin, lightweight polarizer which provides circular polarization for a linearly polarized antenna aperture. The polarizer consists of two thin-etched printed circuit-boards, separated by a honeycomb core. The operation of the polarizer is illustrated and the circuit analog design is shown. Questions of electrical design are also discussed, taking into account the determination of the device parameter values with the aid of a waveguide simulator.
