Bitangential Kepler's orbits
Abstract
Some aspects of bitangential Keplerian orbits are examined. The fundamental relations describing the bitangential orbit are set down, and analyses are presented for the following problems: bitangential transfer with a given pericentric time in the final trajectory, tangential rendezvous, bitangential rotational displacement of the line of apsides, and an orbit that contacts two common coplanar paths. The tritangential orbit is also considered.
