Preliminary analysis of the small gravitational antenna data
Abstract
The procedure used to analyze data from the experiment on the detection of short gravitational wave pulses carried out at the Physics Institute of the University of Rome is described. In the experiment a small aluminum antenna (20 kg) operating at 4.2 K was used. It is shown that by means of a suitable algorithm the electronic noise can be reduced to obtain better sensitivity for the detection of possible gravitational signals.
