The optimisation of satellite trajectories. Volume 2: Theory
Abstract
The theoretical aspects of the optimization of a series of satellite missions are described. Transformations are introduced which enable all these missions to be posed as standard nonlinear programming problems in a small number of variables. The missions described include cases with continuously variable thrust angles, true anomaly and cone constraints, and rate constraints which imply the singular arc case.
