A high power HF interference cancellation system
Abstract
An electromechanical and an electronic interference cancellation system (ICS) were built and tested. Using LMS adaptive control, these experimental models successfully cancelled high power interferences in the HF band. The employment of an ICS protects an airborne receiver from desensitization by a colocated transmitter and thereby makes possible simultaneous transmission and reception at very closely spaced frequencies.
