A Tactical Laser Beam Recorder for near real time high resolution image generation
Abstract
The paper describes the Tactical Laser Beam Recorder which, using dry silver film and innovative data processing/electro-optic techniques, is designed for high resolution high speed image generation. The design is rugged to allow for van operations and transportability; it is free from constant tuning and alignment, and is operable by a photointerpreter with cassette loading for complete daylight operation. Attention is given here to the performance of the recorder, its operating parameters, and its application to an operational reconnaissance system scenario.
