Identification of parameters of a multimass model of a onedimensional system
Abstract
An algorithm is proposed for the identification of the inertia and stiffness coefficients and damping parameters of a chain type mechanical system with finite number of degrees of freedom from approximate values of tabulated experimental frequency characteristics. The algorithm is constructed by using techniques involved in the method of least squares and modal identification, and exploits the structural features of the original matrices of the chain system. An example of identification of a sixmass chain type system is given.
