Methods for analyzing time-varying phenomena
Abstract
Computer-aided spectral analysis techniques are well suited for studying time-varying phenomena and, therefore, useful to determine the spectral distribution of acoustic or fluid dynamic forces and the response spectrum of structures experiencing the action of such forces. In the present paper, a fast Fourier transform algorithm is proposed and is applied to the determination of forces and responses for use in the design of structures susceptible to fatigue.
