Digital charge coupled device technology and digital filter applications
Abstract
We begin this paper with a description of a new method of implementing digital functions that is referred to as Digital Charge Coupled Logic and show how it is used to perform pipeline arithmetic functions. We then discuss how DCCL adder and multiplier arrays shift registers and ROMs on two LSI chips can be used to implement discrete and Fast Fourier transforms as well as secure voice processing functions. A programmable processor employing three DCCL chips, and having pipeline and also lookahead features is as efficient in its processing of decision logic as any other microcontrolled signal processor.
