The Determination of the Earth Gravity Field by use of Satellite Gradiometry
Abstract
A method for determining gravity anomalies directly from satellite-gradiometry data is proposed. The method is based on formulas for gradient tensor and relations between components of the tensor. The collocation method was used to determine gravity anomalies, with predictions made for an area of 10 x 10 deg on the earth surface. Moritz's expansion (1973) was used as a covariance function for the disturbing potential.
