Visualization of gasdynamic phenomena in two-phase flow with condensation
Abstract
A light section procedure, utilizing the scattering of light by submicroscopic particles in a fluid, makes it possible to effect point-by-point examinations of the flow field. The technique is suitable for visualizing condensation, particle growth, and evaporation in a two-phase flow. In addition, measurements may be made of particle size, number density, and carrier gas density.
