The design of robust quantizer-detectors for signals in additive, contaminated noise
Abstract
The design of quantizer-detectors whose performance is insensitive to small changes in assumed noise statistics is considered. A contaminated density class is used to model deviations in noise statistics. Applying a small-signal, asymptotic formulation, it is shown that the proposed robust quantizer has properties exhibited by established robust procedures.
